Stay Woke, Stay Rested: Wellness for the Revolution

The ASU Black Graduate Student Association, Black Lives Matter Phoenix Metro,The Multicultural Solidarity Coalition, and the Black African Coalition invites you to a conversation and body-based healing practice with healing justice practitioner, Holiday Simmons, MSW. Holiday is a Black Cherokee southerner who has a decolonizing psychotherapy and somatics coaching practice, he is the Resident in Healing and Resilience at the Campaign for Southern Equality, and he comes with years of experience in mediating conflict, addressing traumas, working in communities, and leading trainings. This event will be an open, welcoming space for students and community members to dialogue and practice introductory somatic exercises that explore the intersections of race, gender, class, culture, trauma, and healing.
